engineering physics for first year

Hello,

Since the course that were in 2 years in +2 (11 and 12) are combined in Engineering Physics, it is a vast subject to be able to read in a semester. I'm not saying it's tough though. But, the thing is that you can't leave this subject simply by saying that "I'll read in 3 days leave before board exam."

Even I, my topper friends and my other friends who deserved good marks secured only 32 in this subject.
Even Maha Dutta Paudel (MDP) Sir, HOD,Engineering Science And Humanities Department was shocked to see our result. So, it becomes a bit difficult for you if you simply neglect this subject.

But.......... You already have enough concept from +2. So it becomes very easy for you if you're updated daily.

Pay attention to Numericals. If your numerical goes bad on your exam your whole exam goes bad which ruins your whole semester.

If you've very less time to read, they're some chapters which can be solved simply by cramming 1 or 2 formulas. E.g. in optics, if you know some formulas of Newton's Ring Experiment , Polarization, Young's Single Slit Experiment (you probably have good concept on these topics from your +2) and know how to use them on formulas, you can secure good marks in less time.

engineering drawing first year

Engineering Drawing II has topics like isometric, assembly, disassembly, limit, fit and tolerance etc.

The main thing that should be kept in mind during solving problems in Engineering Drawing (and in other subjects too because Engineering is a technical and practical subject) is you must be able to "Imagine and Visualize" the given object in 3 Dimension. If you're not able to do so, you're only cramming the problems but not solving them. This means you are not able to solve the problems that are out from tutorials. So you must remember a quote by Albert Einstein.

"Imagination is more important than knowledge."

Because knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research. You must remember these things through out your whole life. :-)

So, I give 1st place to "Imagination". Here, I'm saying that Imagination means to compare the figure with real 3 - D object in your mind by imagining. That is why I've provided you the 3 Dimensional figure of all the objects that are in tutorials. I hope that it'll help you to imagine and visualize the object that makes you easy while solving the problems. The link for the 3 - D figures of all the objects are:

Though I say all these things about Imagination and Visualtion i.e.conceptual stuffs ........... The final thing that we all need is solution. So here is the link for the solution of Engineering Drawing II.

applied mechanic(beam and frame) for first year

"Applied Mechanics" is very important for Civil Engineers. In your coming semesters, you are going to need it's concept for subjects like "Theory Of Structures"(II/II) , "Strength Of Materials" (II/I).

I feel that the concept of Beam And Frame , Truss, Moment Of Inertia and other similar topics must be clear for an civil engineering student.

If you're feeling bore attending lectures of "Beam And Frame" and "Truss" in your class, just leave the class. But in return, you must visit this link which is going to teach you the concept far better than your lecturers. And I'm sure that your level of concept will be far ahead than your friend's. One example is me. I almost skip the lectures of Beam And Frame and Truss because I'd already watched the videos and I was clear in it's concept.

The video  for "Beam And Frame" for beginners:
I suggest you to view the video carefully. Don't skip any portion. The "Ellipse Rule" given in the video really helps you to find the nature of the curve in SFD and BMD. While viewing above link, you may also watch other videos of CTSCIVIL because it's for meant for Civil Engineering Students.

Hope it helps. And do write me if it really helped you.
